about the author

* Who?

Canis Lupus writes videogames for a living. Well... that's the theory.

(no, we don't play games all the time.)

* What?

Canis does a variety of things, programming being the most obvious. Other skills & hobbies include writing, music, graphic design, photography, martial arts, roleplaying games, contact juggling, and random 'internet stuff'.

Stuff Canis finds interesting, but doesn't (usually) actively make or work with include: film, animation, wireless communications, and graphic novels.

Other less concrete things that Canis finds pleasing: snow, 60s spy chic, seafood, taking a relaxed attitude, occult knowledge*, rain, freedom*, emergent behaviours, cynicism tempered with hope and vice versa, sun, conspiracising, referential humour, passion, neologisms, and being a geek.

* Where?

London, England.

You know, Europe? Where the history comes from?

* When?

This blog started in march 2003. for the most recent update, see the front page.

The blog was 'refurbished' october/november 2004 with a new look, after a hiatus while moving house and then getting sidetracked by other things.

* Why?

Originally to keep friends informed with the progress of various personal projects (and at least in part as an incentive to keep making progress with them), but that wasn't entirely successful. Nowadays it shows some of my photography, and acts as a place to stick interesting links, and as somewhere to post other random bits and bobs.

Don't worry, Canis has no delusions that anyone actually notices what's here. banana banana banana.

* With?

A custom blogging tool written in Python that Canis put together in odd moments here and there. And an iBook.
